I<br \/>\nhave a yahoo ID that I use only for instant messenger chatting. Of course it has<br \/>\nits own mail account too which I stopped using a few years ago. Of late,<br \/>\nhowever, Yahoo has started letting a lot of obvious spam through its<br \/>\n&quot;protection&quot;. <\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t believe me? Here&#8217;s a screenshot of my in-box the last time I checked<br \/>\nmail on the yahoo account.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"1\" src=\"\/images\/yahoo-spam.gif\" alt=\"yahoo screenshot\" width=\"526\" height=\"372\"><\/p>\n<p>Apart from the first one which was legit mail (I&#8217;ve blurred it), the other<br \/>\nmessages are clearly spam. They aren&#8217;t even the more deceptive ones that have<br \/>\nbenign subject lines like &quot;hello&quot;, &quot;how are you doing&quot;, or<br \/>\n&quot;I forgot to tell you&quot;. <\/p>\n<p>Yet Yahoo fails to classify them as spam. They need to tweak their algorithm<br \/>\na bit, I suppose.<\/p>\n<p>(And before somebody asks, yes, the &quot;SpamGuard&quot; option <i>is<\/i><br \/>\nenabled on my account.
